I really like this magazine, it also has a website http://thedinerjournal.com/, the layout is really nice and I think it takes the food magazine to a new audience. I really like the composition of the front cover and then general layout of the magazine and website as a whole.

What is Graphic Design For?

These posters for Black Swan were designed by UK design company La Boca, they use type and image to move away from the usual movie posters, using just 3 colours and strong but simple images to advertise the film. I think they are some of the best and original movie posters I have seen in a while and perform the function of advertising the film whilst capturing an audience in an unconventional way.

Some nice use of colour/the colour wheel in these lighting pieces by Daniel Firman, definitly relates to the work I am currently doing for the speaking from experience brief.
