Precious Envelopes
I made the Precious envelopes with pink stock and the gold foiling inside
but I want to look at other options, possibly having a gold foil envelope or
having gold paper inside like the letterheads. I have found these samples
on Envelope World, all could possibly work with the rest of the branding, I
am going to order some samples and continue to work on the Precious branding.
Illustrated Bites
This blog was set up by Heather Diane, an illustrator and sign painter,
she wanted to combine her love of drawing and food so made this blog
to show her illustrations, there are also how-tos and recipes that are
all illustrated.

Branded Pencils
I am expanding the stationery range for Precious and thought about
getting branded pencils, I have found some that are in the Precious
pink and gold colour scheme.
These are so some other people have made branded pencils, I also thought
that we could sell them at future events as promotion.
Surface Pattern Packaging
This packaging for tea was designed by Michelle Mckeon,
they have used a surface pattern design and applied it to their
product and the design also has relevance to the product which is
something I want to consider in my illustration and surface pattern briefs.

Patterned Stationary
I am applying my pattern to a range of stationery, I have done
to research to see how other people have done it. Some designs
use the same pattern and changed the colours and layout, other designs
use similar colour schemes and shapes but changes them slightly each time.

Promotional Postcard Packaging
Andy showed this GF Smith postcard holder to Sadie,
its made from one sheet
of paper folded down with no binding or glue used.
It is pretty impressive!
This is another postcard holder, this one uses binding and has little
windows so you can see what the postcard is of. This is probably
the type of thing we will make for the Inpress postcards.

Pattern Ideas for Tote Bags
I am designing and printing on tote bags for our inpress show next weekend,
I am not too sure what I want to put on them though, some sort of repeating pattern but I don't know if I want to look at shape or illustration, I need to
consider colours and how long it will take to print them.
These are some designs I found that I liked the look of, so something along these
lines.

Branding- Stationery Ranges
For Precious I am creating their re-brand and all the stationery
for them, I am looking at the ranges of stationery people produce for
a certain brand/person, also how they present and lay it out
for documenting, as I will need to do that for the final
submission boards.
Kate Moross
Kate Moross is one of my favourite designs, she works a lot with pattern and
applying her patterns to her design work. These are just some example sof the work she
does. I am looking at her work in relation to my surface pattern brief, seeing how she
applies her work to the products is something I need to focus on for
this brief.

David Attenborough-BBC Documentary
I was watching a David Attenborough documentary on the BBC the other
night and I really liked the design of the motion graphics. I liked the use of
illustration and the colours that have been used.
I am not doing any motion graphics for any of my briefs but I just like
the design of the images used.

News Paper Bags
We are wanting to use newspaper paper bags at our event for people
to take their prints home in. We want to use newspaper and it is sustainable as
we will be recycling old newspaper. To keep in line with our promotion
we are going to screenprint our logo over the top of the bags.
Newspaper Printing
We are using newspaper for our packaging for our event and also our
posters are based on a newspaper style, using newsprint as stock and printing
the text over greyscale images.
These are a few designs of the type of thing we want to do. We are using newspaper
to be sustainable, using old papers to make our packaging, which fits in with
the poo paper we used for our branding.

Presenting a Range
For my Precious brief and my Stationery range I am creating
a range of products, I will need to present the range and photograph
it for the boards. I found these images of a range of products, I like
how they have been organised and photographed to show all the elements
of the range and then the range as a whole in its packaging.

Precious Paper
For the Precious letterheads I want to use a gold stock on the reverse
to keep with the gold and pink theme. The text on the front will be foiled gold
like the business cards and I want it to look like the gold has come through
from the back.
