Leeds Light Night
Night of the Broadcast 1888: Students and staff of the the School of Art and Graphic Design- Around the Broadcasting Place there were films made by students from the school of Art and Graphic Design, they were looking at early cinematic technologies compared with digital projection methods. I especially enjoyed the way it was presented, it was very interesting and well thought out.
Ex: Former students from Leeds College of Art- All the work on exhibition was done by students that all completed their foundation course at Leeds college of Art. I found some interesting typography work, which is shown above.
The Moving Body in the City-Kaleidoscope: Rob and Matt Vale/ Lumen
Waltz: Samuel Morgan, Erin Hyde and Alfie Strong- These 3 artists created 100 gramaphones out of cardboard and placed them along Thorton's Arcade.
Light Maze: Bryony Pritchard- In one of the Arches a glowing maze was projected on the floor but as you worked your way around the maze the light paths changed, confusing you and trapping you in, you had to move quickly to get out before it changed again.
