Graphic Design for Screen

This is 'Infinite Sclupture' by designer Universal Everything, it was part of the Decode exhibition which was at the V&A, it was a great exhibition and this is just once piece that featured in it. I love how it just keeps spinning and changing and your eyes constantly see something new. http://universaleverything.com/

This is 'idaft', it can be found here http://dothedaft.com/, it is an interactive piece of graphic design for screen, you can use your keyboard to make the iconic sounds from Daft Punk songs and they have the backing track so you can play along, I think it's a very clever and interesting piece of design and I think interactive design is great concept as it engages people in a way other design may not.

Graphic Design for Screen

This is a very clever and very fun website, people give money which is donated to Oxfam and then you get your name printed on a piece of toast, that toast then acts as a link to your website, promoting yourself whilst doing something good for society, lovely!

I came across this website, http://www.lovelyasatree.com/, it's a website which informs you on how to be a environmentally aware graphic designer, I think it's a really good idea as people should be more aware of the environment and the damage that can be done when people are careless.

Another video here by PES, this one is an advert for Barcardi, I think it's very clever, the use of objects related to drinking to represent something else, for example cocktail glasses as the fish is a good idea and how it goes on an adverture, like a short story.

AMEX - Playdoh from Not To Scale on Vimeo.

The joy that is Playdoh, clever use of materials in this piece of design, making models and then using them for stop frame is something I have always admired, it must be time consuming but I think the outcome is worth it.

Dear Gretchen

These infographics are from a book 'Dear Gretchen' by Gretchen Nash, it documents all the letters he has kept inside a suitcase since he was a child. He categories his letters in different ways and uses these charts and graphs to represent them. I love how they are made out of card and folded in different ways to create shapes and structures that represent data.

These are HP 'Hands' adverts, I think they are really effective and I like the way the images move around the frame and the hands and images interact.

Microsoft Sustainability from Hana Ken on Vimeo.
This is a Microsoft promotion video, I like how it shows the interaction between people and the screen, it also has some infographics in there which links into the collection 100 brief.

These are both music videos by Justice, they were both directed by So Me, http://so-me.coolcats.fr/, they are both really clever and I think they make the songs, without the videos the songs loose something.

Video for James Blake's track 'The Wilhelm Scream'. Directed by Alexander Brown.
This is such a simple concept but yet so effective, I think the song was carefully considered to make sure the video for it reflected it well.
